A discussion on developing a progressive and strong community was held at the Y - Mandalay Hotel in Maha Aungmyay Township, Mandalay in the morning on July 27.

U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Information and Vice Chairman of the Working Committee for Developing a Progressive and Stronger Community, attended and delivered a speech. The event began with a performance of the song "Mingalabar" by students from Basic Education High School No. 14 in Mandalay.

This was followed by the screening of two video clips produced by MRTV "A Better Future: Rebuilding after the Severe Earthquake" and "Youth: Masters of the Future." Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn then discussed the State's efforts and future plans for country's stability, peace, and development, particularly concerning the upcoming elections. He urged everyone to participate in their respective roles.

He also emphasized that for a progressive and strong community to emerge, or in other words, for a genuine democratic system to flourish, all citizens must come together with knowledge, discipline, empathy, and cooperation. Following his speech, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn handed over 50 MRTV DTH Set Top Boxes and 150 MRTV DVB T-2 Set Top Boxes to the Mandalay Region Government.

Colonel Nay Lin Soe, Minister for Security and Border Affairs of Mandalay Region, accepted the donation. Additionally, 20 MRTV DTH sets and 40 MRTV DVB T-2 Set Top Boxes were distributed to departmental officials, social organizations, youth, and students attending the discussion via a lottery draw.

The event concluded with students from Basic Education High School No. 14 in Mandalay performing the song "May Myanmar Succeed." In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the construction site of the Myanmar Arts Center in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay.

At the briefing hall, Daw Yu Yu Naing, Project Director of Myanmar Land & Development Limited, provided an update on the project's progress. The Union Minister then toured the construction site, inspecting the work and providing necessary instructions.

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, accompanied by regional ministers, made an inspection tour in SinpaungWe` Township of AungLan District on 2nd August.At the briefing hall of HmunNyaungPinTha   Solar-powered river water pumping project, officials presented reports on implementation of project and water supply for cultivation of rice and other crops, in which the Chief Minister instructed to distribue water for all targeted - acreage.The Chief Minister also met with local farmers and elaborated that the implemation of river water pumping project is aiming to provide water for the farmland in year round and to tackle obstacles due to lack of rain and water.  The project will aslo provide the development of socio-economic life of locals, contributing to long-term beneficiary for the StateIt will also help reduce the cost of electric bill as it uses renewable solar energy in accordance with the guidance of head of State. The Chief Minister then coordinated the necessaries presented by locals and inspected the project area. The Chief Minister and party then proceeded to the Station Hospital in KoePin Village where they comforted elders and patients and provided nutrients.Later, they visited Basic Education High School (Branch), met with teachers and students and provided cash assistance and sport gears.mitv

Third Coordination Meeting : Discussion on Resilient and Strong Social Community
The Third Coordination Meeting of the Working Committee on the Development of a Resilient and Strong Social Community was held on Monday afternoon at the meeting hall of the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw.The meeting was attended by U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for the Ministry-2 at the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, who serves as the Chairman of Working Committee and many other high-ranking officials.In the meeting, the Union Minister stated that the committee had recently visited Mandalay and Sagaing to coordinate activities. He added that as a pilot project, rehabilitation efforts will continue in Chaungpyar Village and Thabyepin Village in the Moehti, Moemi, and Warbyutaung areas of Yamethin Township, which were affected by floods.He also mentioned discussions and coordination regarding establishing a weaving zone or a weaving village for earthquake-affected weavers in Amarapura Township, and providing financial capital for their recovery. Coordination was made for implementing natural disaster education programs and public service activities by the State in 489 villages across 15 townships located within 5 kilometers of the earthquake fault.Regarding the pilot project in Sagaing, coordination was made for the resettlement and income-generating rehabilitation activities for over 25,000 displaced persons and earthquake-affected people residing in the Sagaing Hills area, who will be relocated to Ywathaung area.He further elaborated that the pilot project being implemented in Nay Pyi Taw aims for four areas of progressive development: enhancing the security and peaceful living conditions of the affected population, increasing their income, developing their human resource capabilities, and fostering cooperation and unity among communities.Also, attendees presented updates on the completed and ongoing rehabilitation and comprehensive development activities by various ministries in Nyaungpintha Village and Magyipin Village. The Committee Chairman then provided necessary coordination and delivered concluding remarks.mitv
