  • Order No.1/2025: Revocation of the order on transfer of state power

The National Defence and Security Council issued an Order No.1/2025 on Thursday concerning the revocation of the order on transfer of state power. In accordance with Articles 417 and 418 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, a state of emergency was declared, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services was entrusted with the responsibility of exercising State power.

As the Commander-in-Chief has submitted a report stating that the responsibilities assigned to him have been successfully fulfilled, the National Defence and Security Council has accepted the report and decided to revoke the Order No. 1/2021 issued by the Office of the President on 1 February 2021, which had transferred State power to the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services. The Order was signed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the Pro-Tem President (Duty).
