China's first pet gym opens in Shanghai

China’s first dedicated pet gym, Gogogym, received its first furry customers recently in West Bund Central, Shanghai’s Xuhui District. Spanning 300 square-meters, Gogogym is a wellness center specializing in fitness and rehabilitation particularly for dogs.

It features four key areas, a retail space, fitness area, rehabilitation area, and massage room. Pet rehabilitation therapists will recommend customized equipment based on each dog’s physique and condition to help pets stay active and prevent illness through regular exercise. Most dog clients visiting with owners need weight management or age-related rehabilitation training.

Hundreds of dancers have demonstrated their skills simultaneously at the Awa Odori festival in the western Japanese city of Tokushima.Full-scale outdoor performances started at several venues on Tuesday. As the climax of the day, “so-odori” dancing was staged at one of the sites, involving 1,700 dancers from 15 groups showing off their superlative skills. Women executed elegant dance moves in sync with one another, while men danced energetically. The Awa Odori festival will continue through Friday.mitv

Swiss pilot Raphael Domjan beated the altitude record for a solar-powered electric plane on Tuesday in a flight that took him soaring to 9,521 metres, according to his team.The SolarStratos plane made the landmark flight from Sion airport in southwest Switzerland, taking advantage of warm air thermals to go beyond the record that has stood for 15 years. The data will be sent to the World Air Sports Federation governing body, which will decide whether to validate the new record.mitv
