The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the country's security cabinet has approved a military plan to take control of Gaza City amid the continuing conflict with Hamas. The announcement issued by the office on Friday morning said the security cabinet had approved the prime minister's proposal for defeating Hamas. It also said the Israel Defense Forces will prepare to expand the military operation in Gaza City.
