In the Ayeyarwady Region, Danubyu Township, local agricultural products, specifically straw mushrooms, were transported to the Yangon market. According to Daw Than Than Oo, an agricultural product trader from Danubyu Township, a total of 64,000 viss of straw mushrooms were sold and shipped during the month of December.
In November 2024, Danubyu Township was able to ship only 40,000 viss of straw mushrooms to the Yangon market. However, from
December 1st to December 31 st , the volume increased significantly to 64,000 viss.
"Currently, straw mushrooms are being produced in Danubyu Township. Agricultural products from Danubyu are frequently shipped to the Yangon market. In December alone, we shipped over 64,000 viss of mushrooms. Even now, in January, there is a high demand for mushrooms from buyers in Yangon. The demand has increased as more restaurants and hotels are using them. The mushroom buds are particularly popular. If we can tap into international markets, sales could improve even further," said Daw Than Than Oo.
The straw mushrooms produced in Danubyu Township are purchased by agricultural product traders, who then clean and inspect them systematically before shipping them in large quantities to Yangon. Local farmers typically cultivate these mushrooms in beds that are 30 feet long and 10 to 20 feet wide. The current market price for these straw mushrooms is around 20,000 viss.

He further emphasized that Myanmar would work to strengthen and expand cooperation through tangible actions. The SAC Chairman and Prime Minister and the EEC Board Chairman then engaged in a frank and open exchange of views on various issues included promoting economic cooperation between Myanmar and EAEU member states, technical and collaborative initiatives to enhance Myanmar's agriculture, transportation, mining technology, and energy sectors, accelerating economic and trade opportunities through direct trade and investment between Myanmar and EAEU member states, as well as by organizing commodity exhibitions and forums, Myanmar's ambition to achieve observer status in the EAEU, and the potential for developing numerous positive economic cooperation prospects. The meeting was attended by SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Nyo Saw, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw, Deputy Ministers, Myanmar Ambassador to Belarus U Thit Lin Ohn, and other officials from Myanmar.mitv

4th Eurasian Economic Forum kicks off in Minsk
THE fourth Eurasian Economic Forum kicked off here on Thursday to boost cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Belarus, which holds the EAEU chairmanship in 2025, is hosting the forum alongside the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, where the heads of state of EAEU member countries gather together.The forum, with the theme of “Strategy of Eurasian Economic Integration: Results and Prospects,” will last for two days. The Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation (MCEF) and a delegation of Vietnamese businesspeople jointly held the Myanmar-Vietnam Construction Business Matching event on the morning of 23 June at 9:30 am. Monywa June 24Monywa Township Agriculture Department of Sagaing Region stated that more than 3,000 acres of green gram has been planted in the township this monsoon.In the 2025-2026 monsoon crop season, it is planned to cultivate 10,300 acres of green gram in Monywa Township. Cultivation began in May of this year, and as of today, a total of 3,195 acres have already been planted."For this monsoon crop season, more than 10,000 acres of green gram are planned to be cultivated in Monywa Township. As of today, over 3,000 acres have already been planted. Efforts are being made to meet the targeted acreage.
