Myanmar showcases traditional costumes at “Costumes of the World” event in Vienna

ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Cultural
Diversity Organization (ICDO) hosted the “Costumes of the World” Show on 27
September at the Festsaal Rathaus in Vienna, Austria.
The event was attended by Vienna’s Deputy Mayor and Deputy Governor, MrChristoph Wiederkehr, Myanmar Ambassador U Min Thein, and other ambassadors and cultural attachés from participating countries.
A total of 32 countries, including Myanmar, took part in the show, showcasing their traditional costumes and dance performances. The Myanmar Embassy and Permanent Representative Office in Vienna presented traditional attire from eight major ethnic groups of Myanmar Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Bamar, Rakhine, and Shan. — ASH/TMT
