Over K280M worth of drugs seized in Tachilek

Drugs valued at over K280 million were seized in Tachilek Township of Shan State, as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search of a rental department in Tachilek Township at 6 pm on 8 April. They arrested Nyi Lauk Si with 1,200 stimulant tablets and 10 grammes of low-grade opium while police arrested Sai Kat at room No 17 of this rental department with 24 grammes of Ketamine, 35 grammes of Happy Water, 200 stimulant tablets and 250 grammes of low-grade opium.
According to the investigation, police arrested Si Thu Phyo in room 5 of same rental department with 400,000 stimulant tablets and a Honda CRV.
Legal proceedings have been conducted against the offenders, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend others involved in the case. — MNA/MKKS
