President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and the newly elected South Korean President, Lee Jae-myung, spoke over the phone on Monday to exchange pleasantries and discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

During the call, President Lee expressed his gratitude for Prabowo’s congratulatory letter following his victory in the South Korean presidential election in early June. The two leaders discussed the global situation and agreed to continue strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and South Korea.

According to Indonesia’s Cabinet Secretariat, President Lee also conveyed his intention to conduct a state visit to Indonesia in the near future.
