Brazil's Lula receives India's Modi in Brasilia after BRICS summit
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva receives Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Brasilia, a day after the BRICS summit. Modi was welcomed by Brazilian presidential guard at the Alvorada Presidential Palace.
After watching the presidential guard perform, Lula awarded Modi with the "National Order of the South Cross". In his statement, Modi said at a time when the world is going through a phase of conflict and uncertainty, India-Brazil partnership is an important pillar of stability and balance. He also expressed his belief that all such disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
