In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants and administrative officials who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

THE malicious media spread fake information, claiming that security forces torched the village and opened fire using heavy and small weapons in Ngatayaw village, Yesakyo Township, Magway Region, on 19 March, and the villagers had fled their villages.
According to a local security official, such news was invalid. Security forces conducted security measures in Yesakyo Township and did not take any security measures in Ngatayaw village on that day.

UNION Minister for Ministry 2 at the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman U Ko Ko Hlaing received Mr Arnaud de Baecque, Resident Representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), yesterday morning at the parlour of the Office of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw.
Both sides exchanged views on humanitarian assistance matters and existing and ongoing activities of ICRC in Myanmar. Officials from the Office of the State Administration Council were present at the meeting.— MNA
