Yangon pagodas overflow with pilgrims on Taboung full moon day

THE full moon day of Taboung is one of the significant religious days for Buddhist people, and the Shwedagon Pagoda and other pagodas in Yangon were also crowded with visitors on the full moon day of Taboung.
The pagoda board of trustees of the Shwedagon Pagoda organized alms donations and the 2,613th anniversary Buddha Pujaniya Taboung festival for the successful completion of the Maha Pathana recitation event at the Shwedagon pagoda.

PAKISTANI security forces are preparing a full-scale operation to rescue hostages taken by separatist militants who stormed a train in Balochistan, as officials confirm at least three deaths and more than 100 freed so far.
Pakistan security sources on Wednesday said the military had freed 190 train passengers taken hostage by gunmen on the second day of a siege in the mountainous southwest.

IN 2024, renewable energy sources such as wind power, solar energy, biogas, and hydropower accounted for 59.4 per cent of Germany’s electricity production, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said on Wednesday.
Renewable electricity generation reached an all-time high of 256.4 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), marking a 2.3 per cent year-on-year increase, according to Destatis.
