The Myanmar delegation, led by General Mya Tun Oo, Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, and Union Minister for Transport and Communications, returned to Myanmar on June 24 after attending the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025) held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, from June 18 to 21, 2025.

Southern Shan Macadamia nuts surge in global demand

According to inquiries from macadamia growers and sellers, the foreign market is also interested in and buying macadamia nuts from southern Shan State.
Having good taste, rich nutrients and health benefits, these nuts are consumed directly as well as used in chocolate and various pastries.
“In terms of market conditions, Myanmar has a very good market. Good markets include Thailand and China. Domestic demand is high. This year, we have seen rising demand from Thailand. China has also bought a lot,” said a macadamia producer and distributor in Shan State.

Kayakam Metta Foundation concludes annual Paṭiccasamuppãda training

The fourth capacity-building training course based on Paticcasamuppada concluded on 22 June at the Kayakam Metta Foundation Monastery in Ywa Tha Gyi, Ward 140, Dagon Myothit (South) Township, Yangon Region.
According to Sayadaw Ashin Kusala of the Kayakam Metta Foundation, the course aimed to promote the Dhamma and support monks in carrying out charitable activities effectively.
