The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has announced its intention to dismantle the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) following a peace agreement signed with Rwanda. The FDLR, formed by former Hutu leaders linked to the 1994 Rwandan genocide, is considered by Kigali to be an existential threat.

Thailand’s new cabinet members officially began their ministerial roles on Friday after taking their oath of office. Paetongtarn Shinawatra began her tenure as the new Minister of Culture, expressing enthusiasm for the role despite her temporary suspension as Prime Minister.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday that the positioning of China-EU relations should be that of partnership, the mainstream tone should be cooperation, the key value should be independence, and the development prospects should be win-win. Wang made the remarks at a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul in Berlin.

During the ceremony, the trainees paid respect to the Commandant and saluted the state flag. They also pledged their loyalty and took the oath respectively. Next, the Commandant presented awards to the outstanding trainees and gave a speech.
