When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Aung Min Lwin (46 years old), a resident of No.1 Ward in Nyaung-U Township, was travelling on his motorcycle from Khya-O Village to U-yin Village along the Bagan-Chauk Road. Upon reaching a location near U-yin Village, four so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him, accusing him of being a “decoy”. As a result, U Aung Min Lwin died on the spot, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of innocent civilians in the aforementioned case, it is reported.

In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 9 January 2025 at 12:45 PM, a report stated that a man shot dead near U-yin Village, Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region.
