Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 August 2025 at 10:50 AM, U Zaw Myo Aung (42 years old), a resident of No.3, Ward in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State and U Tu (65 years old), a resident of Nant Taw Toe Village in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State, were travelling in a white coloured light truck (license plate 8M-XXXX) from Hpa-an Town to Kawkareik Town. When their vehicle reached an area near Nant Taw Toe Village, an improvised rocket shell fired by a combined group of pro-terrorism KNU members, along with so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby. As a result, both men sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Kawkareik District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

Their targets are administrative officials who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 12 August 2025 at 4:30 PM, a report stated that a man was stabbed to death in Ta Pyaw Village, Meiktila Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as the Village Administrator, U Shwe Tin (67 years old), a resident of the village. At 4:25 PM, on the same day, while the victim was at his house, four so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles, asked him, “Are you the Ta Pyaw Village Administrator?” and then stabbed him to death. As a result, U Shwe Tin died on the spot, it is reported.Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.MOHA

The incident occurred while the victim was walking to Kan Gyi Village from his home. Upon reaching the entrance of the village, six so-called PDF terrorists abducted him, accusing him of being a “decoy”. They tied his hands behind his back and took him to the main road of Kan Gyi Village, where they stabbed him to death. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Aye (50 years old), a resident of Kan Phyu Village in Madaya Township. When the victim was at her house, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. However, the victim succumbed to her injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.MOHA
