Russian pro-Kremlin pop idol Shaman arrives in North Korea
Russian pro-Kremlin pop idol Yaroslav Dronov, better known by his stage name Shaman, arrived in North Korea's capital, Pyongyang, as part of a Russian delegation ahead of celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of Japanese colonial rule.
Kommersant, Russian business daily newspaper also reported that Shaman, alongside the Russian delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Andrey Malyshev, arrived in Pyongyang on August 14, ahead of the official events. RIA Novosti, Russian state-owned domestic news agency confirmed the date and notes that the festivities take place on August 15, the day marking the liberation .
