THE Myanmar Red Cross Society has opened a mobile clinic and is providing free primary healthcare to displaced households in Sittway, Rakhine State, according to the MRCS headquarters.
The mobile clinic for displaced households, jointly opened by the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the Norwegian Red Cross and operated in collaboration with local Red Cross volunteers, staff, and the community, has provided free primary healthcare to 1,503 displaced patients from 1 January to 22 February 2025.
In addition, the Myanmar Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the Danish Red Cross, has distributed food vouchers worth K68,500 each to 4,997 individuals from 1,464 displaced households in Sittway, Rakhine State, between 31 January and 8 February.
Each voucher could be exchanged for 6 Pyis of rice, 50 ticals of chickpeas, 50 ticals of salt, and 50 ticals of cooking oil. In total, 4,997 vouchers were distributed, amounting to K342.294 million. — ASH/TH
