Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 8 March 2025 at 6:10 AM, a report stated that when a so-called PDF terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into (Ka Gyi) Ward, Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region. The heavy weapon shells exploded within the ward. As a result of the explosions, a monk named Wah Ta Wa (aka) Soe Kyaw Htway (35 years old) and four years as monkhood at the Myo Oo Htein Thit Monastery; U Myo Oo (53 years old), Daw Htway Kyi (89 years old) and Ma Pan Ei Thwal (eight-year-old), all residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
