People tumultuously welcome Myanmar high-level delegation led by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who attended summits in China to strive for development of the State
The Myanmar high-level delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who attended the summits including the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit in the People’s Republic of China left Bao’an International Airport in Shenzhen of China by the special aircraft of the Myanmar Airways International (MAI) for Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport yesterday afternoon. The Senior General and party were seen off at the airport by Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia, Ambassador of Myanmar to China U Tin Maung Swe, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Zaw Zaw Naing, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen City Mr Dai Jin Tao, Consul General Daw Khaing Hsu Lin of the Myanmar Consulate-General in Nanning and officials.
The Senior General was accompanied by Members of the delegation SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and Council member General Nyo Saw, Union ministers, chief ministers of Taninthayi, Yangon and Ayeyawady regions and officials, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), deputy ministers and military and civilian officials. During the visit, the Senior General attended the summits in Kunming, held talks with Premier of the People’s Republic of China Mr Li Qiang and met provincial officials of the People’s Republic of China. Moreover, the Senior General held discussions with Prime Ministers from Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, visited landmarks, universities and factories in Kunming, Chongqing and Shenzhen cities to discuss relevant sectors. In this regard, positive results in economic meetings were secured in order to improve socioeconoic life of the State. The visit strengthened further promotion of cooperation in friendly relations, economic and various sectors between governments and people of two countries. They were welcomed back tumultously by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, the Council Secretary, council members, Union ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, officials from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and officials, Myanmar citizen Chinese people, Chinese traditional dragon and lion dance troupes, traditional cultural troupes and dance troupes, officials of the Yong Men’s Buddhist Association and religious organizations, artistes, students and residents. They held the placards bearing: “Let the friendly relations between China and Myanmar strengthen”, “Let China-Myanmar multiple strategic cooperation enhance”, “Warmly wecome to SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who further promoted China-Myanmar relations”, “Let China-Myanmar friendly ties cement”, and “Warmly welcome to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who strived for overall development of Myanmar”. They chanted “May China-Myanmar friendly relations strengthen”, “May Senior General Min Aung Hlaing striving for nationality, and be healthy”, “May SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing be healthy”, “Let China-Myanmar friendly relations strengthen” and “Let Swe Myo Pauk-Phaw relations cement”, waving miniature flags of China and Myanmar. — MNA/TTA
