Four members of the people’s militia were injured and an innocent civilian, was killed in a heavy and small arms attack carried out by a so-called PDF terrorist group in Kambalu Township of Sagaing Region, it is reported.

The incident occurred on 9 June 2025 at 4:30 AM, when a so-called PDF terrorist group launched an attack on Chin Myit Kyin Village in Kambalu Township of Sagaing Region, using heavy and small arms from a location approximately 300 meters southwest of the village. The security personnel and members of people’s militia returned fire, and the terrorist group retreated at around 6:30 AM the same day. During the incident, Ma Sandar Htay (20 years old), a resident of the village, was killed on the spot. Additionally, four members of people militia: U Maung Thint, U Aung Thein, U Kyaw Wai and U Kyaw Swar sustained gunshot wounds. The injured individuals were transported to Kambalu District Public Hospital for medical treatment. Moreover, one house was destroyed by a blast from heavy weapon shell, it is reported.

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.

Innocent Civilian Shot Dead, Civil Servant and Two Other Innocent Civilians Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region
Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from civil servants' families and local civilians, as well as killings. Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 June 2025, at 11:00 AM, U Zaw Myo Thet (aka) Ko Thet (47 years old), a resident of Pan Ai Village in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region, was at his betel nut shop near the Shwe Mot Htaw Pagoda. At the time, approximately 20 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by a car and five motorcycles from Natogyi Township and opened fired on U Zaw Myo Thet (aka) Ko Thet. As a result, U Zaw Myo Thet (aka) Ko Thet died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists also abducted U Kyaw Thet (55 years old), U Thet Naing Oo (aka) Nga Thet (47 years old) and Daw Khin Myint Htway(40 years old), a senior clerk from the Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank in Mahlaing Township. All three were residents near the northern gate of Shwe Mot Htaw Pagoda. The terrorists then took them toward the Than Bo-Than Tang Village area in Taungtha Township, it is reported. Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.MOHA

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses. Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 June 2025 at 7:00 PM, a report stated that an explosion had occurred near the brick wall of the Joint Operations and Parachute Training School in Outwanet Chaung Village, Hmawbi Township of Yangon Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that it was the explosion of an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by terrorists. At the time of the explosion, an ISUZU CANTER vehicle (License Plate No. 9B/XXXX), driven by U Win Kyaw (40 years old), a resident of Kyar Phyu Kan Village, was passing by the scene. The vehicle was accompanied by employees of the “WAFU” Garment Factory. As a result of the blast, the following individuals susatiend injuries: U Kyaw Ye Aung (33 years old), Daw Mya Mya Sint (45 years old), Daw Htway Htway Yi (41 years old), Ma Ei Po Po Thet (23 years old), Daw Aye Mar Tun (43 years old), Ma Zin Mar Thin (29 years old), Daw Ei Ei Pyone (35 years old), Ma Wai Hnin Soe (28 years old), Daw Lay Lay Nwe (50 years old) and Daw Nwe Nwe Wah (33 years old), a total of one man and nine women, it is reported.It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.MOHA

Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages. Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 10 June 2025 at 1:00 PM, a terrorist group fired heavy weapon into Paing Yat Village in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State. The heavy weapon shell exploded on the open ground in front of U Ka Lar’s house, where students from the Basic Education Middle School of Paing Yat Villge had been temporarily relocated for teaching due to security concerns. As a result, Daw Mi Tha Zin (36 years old), an assistant staff member from the school and three students, Mg Wai Yan Aung (eight years old), Ma La Yeik Cho (10 years old) and Ma Thu Zar Aye (six years old), died on the spot. Additionally, Ma Moe Thu Zar (25 yesrs old), a volunteer teacher, along with 18 students. The injured students incluced, Ma Soe Soe San (five years old), Ma Aye Aye Moe (eight years old), Mg Aung Kyaw Thu (four years old), Ma Myo Sandar Tun (six years old), Ma Myo Thandar Oo (seven years old), Mg Law Chan (seven years old), Mg Saw San Myint Aung (seven years old), Ma Shwe Zin Htet (10 years old), Ma Yin Thu Aye (nine years old), Ma Tun Yadanar (seven years old), Mg Kaung Si Thu Soe (seven years old), Mg Lin Lat Aung (seven years old), Ma Chit Myat Noe (seven years old), Ma Nge Nge (seven years old), Ma May La Wun (seven years old), Ma Ei Nandar Phyo (seven years old), Ma Thwun Thwun Eain Si Lin (nine years old) and Ma Thi Thi Phyo (nine years old), a total of one female teacher, five male students and 13 female students, sustained shrapnel injuries. The injured individuals were transported to Ka Nyin Ka Tike Station Hospital and Mawlamyine Town Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported. Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians have been injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.MOHA

The incident occurred when a terrorist group fired heavy weapons into the victim’s village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported. Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians have been injured or killed. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that Daw Bal Na Del Tar (34 years old), a resident of the ward, had stepped on an explosive device planted by a terrorist group while returning home. As a result, she sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Loikaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported. It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.MOHA
