Relief supplies delivered to Rakhine State via land, sea, and air

  • A vessel en route to deliver relief items to Rakhine State

UNDER the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee and the supervision of the Transport and Communications Committee, relief materials are being transported to Rakhine State using vessels, aircraft, and vehicles.

On 24 November, a vessel carried 2,000 bags of rice (each containing 24 Pyis), along with cooking oil, food products, consumer goods, and medical supplies weighing a total of 172.348 tonnes, from Yangon to Sittway.

Since 16 May 2023, a total of 71,271.78 tonnes of relief supplies, 249,762 gallons of diesel, and 199,886 gallons of Octane 92 fuel have been delivered to Sittway Township in Rakhine State by 49 vessels, according to reports. — MNA/TRKM
