Study Tour : SAC Chairman tours in Minsk
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and delegation members, during their stay in Belarus, visited Minsk Tractor Works on Friday. They observed the various farm implement used for land preparation, cultivation, nurturing, disaster response, and distribution. They also viewed the assembling process of tractors.
In meeting with the Belarusian Minister of Industry, the Prime Minister discussed the possible technical cooperation for production of farm implement and vehicles for development of mechanized farming system in Myanmar.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister and party took a tour of the exhibition. Established in 1946, the Minsk Tractor Works mainly produces farm tractors. With the employment of over 15,000 staff, it is one of the major farm implement factories in Belarus. Tractors produced from the factory have been exported to the western countries and ASEAN member states.
The Prime Minister and party later proceeded to Slutsk Cheese Factory, and toured around it. In the meeting room, an official explained the work performance of the factory, followed by presentation of a video clip. The factory has been operated for more than 40 years, and it is one of the largest factory in Belarus, producing about 250 tons of milk, 150 tons of milk powder, 3,000 ton of dairy products, 100 ton each of butter and cheese in a day. These products have been exported to 24 countries.
