Viet Nam approves plan to attract 100 AI experts
The Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology has approved a plan to attract 100 top AI experts, both from the country and abroad, to boost the country’s research and development efforts in artificial intelligence. This move is part of a broader strategy to implement Viet Nam’s National Strategy on AI Research, Development, and Application until 2030.
Under the plan, experts will take part in key national AI initiatives, from building Viet Nam’s Large Language Models and developing virtual assistants to advancing VR/AR technologies and establishing legal and technical standards for AI. The plan also aims to build a self-sustaining AI ecosystem, laying the groundwork for sustainable development and enhancing Viet Nam’s competitiveness in the digital age.
