The Brazilian navy conducted military exercises in the bay of Rio de Janeiro and maintained security around the Museum of Modern Art, where the upcoming BRICS 2025 summit will take place.

The city, with beefed-up security, will play host to leaders and diplomats from 11 emerging economies including China, India, Russia and South Africa, which represent nearly half of the world's population and 40 percent of its GDP. Brazilian Navy vessels are conducting 24/7 patrols across bays and coastal waters near the summit venue (Museum of Modern Art and Marina da Glória), ensuring maritime security and controlling access.
