  • Flood Warning : Water level of Toe River at Maubin may rise

As of 12:30 PM on Thursday, the water level of the Toe River at Maubin was recorded at about 2 inches below the danger level.

It is expected that the water level may rise above the danger level during the next high tide within 24 hours. Residents living near riverbanks and low-lying areas in Maubin Township are strongly advised to take precautionary measures and be prepared to evacuate to safer areas if water levels continue to rise.

According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, monsoon will be strong over the Andanman Sae and Bay of Bengal, due to the unstable air condition over the Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady ,Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls during 13-8-2025 to 17-8-2025. Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph.
