  • Royal White Elephant: RahtaNandaka turns three years old

A 33-year-old female elephant called Zar Nan Hla kept by the Myanma Timber Enterprise in Taungup Township of Rakhine State has given birth to a white male elephant on 23rd July 2022. The baby elephant is two feet and five inches in height, three feet and one inch in girth with its birth weight of about 180 pounds.

The name of royal white elephant is “RahtaNandaka” and out of eight characteristics of the white elephants, he meets 7 seven unique features such as having pearl-coloured eyes, plantain branch-shaped back, white hair, a distinctive tail, auspicious plot signs on the skin, reddish-brown or pinkish skin, five claws on the front legs and four on the back legs and big ears.

Now, the royal white elephant “RahtaNandaka” turns two year and 3 years old and his height becomes 5 feet and 3 inches, 8 feet in girth and about 1573 pounds. He lives together with his mother happily. As he is a white elephant who has been tame with people since he was young, he is being trained by the “Peace Human and Elephant Interaction Training” to become more familiar.
