Providing Relief Supplies: MCCCA provided relief supplies for staff of MoSYA
The donation ceremony organized by the Myanmar-China Cooperation and Communication Association to provide relief supplies to staff from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs affected by the earthquake was held at the multi-purpose hall of the Sports Training Camp (Gold Camp) in Nay Pyi Taw on July 22nd.
The event was attended by the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Ministers, and other responsible officials. The ceremony began with a clarification by Mr. Wang Lei, the Myanmar Representative of the China Foundation for Peace and Development, who explained the background of the donation.
Following that, U Thitsa (also known as Mr. Li BoBo), Senior President of the Myanmar-China Cooperation and Communication Association and Chairman of the Wushu Federation of Myanmar, introduced the association and elaborated on the current donations and future donation plans.
Representatives from the Myanmar-China Cooperation and Communication Association then formally handed over the donated supplies to the Union Minister and Deputy Ministers. In return, the Union Minister presented certificates of appreciation to the donors and expressed his gratitude.
After the donation ceremony, the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers, and other officials held a meeting with MaJ-Gen. Hla Moe, Chairman of the Myanmar Paralympic Sports Federation, and relevant personnel at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung encouraged the federation to provide a detailed briefing on its preparations and strategies for participating in upcoming competitions. Subsequently, Maj-Gen. Hla Moe and officials from the federation presented detailed briefings, categorized by sector, on the preparation activities for the 13th ASEAN Para Games.
Deputy Ministers, Director General, and Deputy Permanent Secretary then provided suggestions and discussed what is needed to ensure success in the competitions. The Union Minister concluded by addressing the presentations and pledged that the ministry would coordinate and provide the necessary support as required.
