Iran to accept technical team from IAEA
Iran says it has agreed to allow a technical team from the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit the country soon to discuss ways to work together going forward. Iran's state-run television says Deputy Foreign Minister told reporters on Wednesday that an IAEA technical team will travel to the country in the next two or three weeks.
Iran is expected to hold talks over its nuclear program with Britain, France and Germany at the deputy minister level on Friday. Iran's Foreign Minister said on Monday that Tehran is open to resuming the suspended talks with the United States, provided they take place indirectly. Tehran may be trying to reaffirm that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes by showing willingness to cooperate with the IAEA ahead of talks with Western nations.
