  • Enactment of Amended Law: SAC enacted Road Transport Operations Law

The State Administration Council enacted the amended Road Transport Operations Law (State Administration Council Law 42/2025) on 24th July, 2025 under Section 419 of the Constitution.

The amended law is comprised of 13 Sections. The enactment of the Law was signed by the Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely on 17 August and beyond, due to the intensification of the low-pressure area in the central-western Bay of Bengal, according to meteorologist U Win Naing.Windy application described that Japan’s Meteorological Agency has declared a Category-1 typhoon due to the probable impact of Typhoon Podul from the east.The typhoon is forecast to pass through central Chinese Taipei and continue into the coasts of China. Safe Migration said 73 skilled workers who are going to Japan, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Papua New Guinea, France and India on their own will be allowed for training and Overseas Worker Identification Card (OWIC) application.They will have to attend the training on 14 August, and the OWIC application is being scheduled on 15 August, and they need to inform if they are unable to do so according to the schedule.Furthermore, OWIC was also allowed for 76 workers on leave and going back to Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the USA and Macao. According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, monsoon will be strong over the Andanman Sae and Bay of Bengal, due to the unstable air condition over the Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady ,Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls during 13-8-2025 to 17-8-2025. Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.AdvisoryPeople should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.DMH
