A tourist train departed from northwest China’s Shaanxi Province on Thursday for Almaty, Kazakhstan, marking a new step in cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Carrying 234 passengers, the train left Xi’an around noon and is set to arrive in Almaty on Saturday. The return journey is scheduled to depart on 5 June and arrive back in Xi’an on 7 June, with each one-way trip taking about 57 hours.

Israeli Prime Minister Benja min Netanyahu has agreed to the latest ceasefire proposal put forward by US special envoy Steve Witkoff, according to local media reports.

Having informed the families of the surviving Israeli hostages of this development, Netanyahu claimed that Israel is ready to go ahead with the deal. 

Hamas, in the meantime, is less enthusiastic about the new US proposal, pointing out that it does not guarantee that this temporary ceasefire would translate into a permanent one.

Confusion is spreading in the Gaza Strip because Israeli troops reportedly opened fire on people heading to a food distribution point.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began distributing food on Tuesday. It made the move after Israel and the United States claimed that relief supplies delivered by the UN were winding up in the hands of the Islamic group Hamas.

The foundation announced on Wednesday that it had given out roughly 840,000 meals at two distribution points in the territory.

A total of 1,046 acres of sunflower will be planted during this rainy season in Pwintphyu Township, located in Minbu District of the Magway Region, according to the Department of Agriculture for Pwintphyu Township.
Pwintphyu Township has planned to plant 1,046 acres of sunflower in the rainy season, and is currently working on cultivating farmland to grow sunflower.
