Russian President Vladimir Putin and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva held a phone call during a technical stop of a Brazilian government plane in Moscow on its way from China, and the Russian leader expressed gratitude to the leadership of Brazil and China for their desire to contribute to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, the Kremlin said on Tuesday.

"Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the leadership of Brazil and China for their sincere desire to make a constructive contribution to finding ways to resolve the [Ukraine] conflict," the Kremlin said.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, exercising the powers granted under Sub-section (e) of Section 6 of the 2018 Forest Law, has officially designated a 325-acre area within Tangyan Township, Tangyan District, Shan State, as the “Nampon Protected Public Forest” by Notification No 46/2025, effective from the 4th waxing of Kason, 1387 ME (30 April 2025).

Trump has agreed to "say hello" to Syria's interim president on Wednesday in Saudi Arabia as part of his tour of the Middle East, the White House said.

The announcement of the lifting of sanctions was met with elation in the Syrian capital of Damascus, where cheering, dancing and celebratory gunfire were heard.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok today, calling on the Malaysian prime minister, as ASEAN chair, to review his appointment of former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra as his chief advisor.

Protest leaders submitted a petition to the embassy’s representative, stating that Thaksin is a convicted criminal, guilty of corruption, who evaded serving his prison sentence by fleeing abroad for nearly two decades.

Iran says it’s open to temporary uranium enrichment limits

IRAN is open to accepting temporary limits on its uranium enrichment, its deputy foreign minister said Tuesday, while adding that talks with the United States have yet to address such specifics.
Tehran and Washington on Sunday held their fourth round of nuclear talks, which kicked off last month, marking their highest-level contact since the United States in 2018 pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal. “For a limited period of time, we can accept a series of restrictions on the level and volume of enrichment,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi.

Local merchants and fishermen from Labutta Township of Ayeyawady Region dispatched 77,000 viss of sea clams to Yangon market in April, said Daw Thin Hlaing, the fishery product entrepreneur from Labutta Township.
In Labutta Township, naturally harvested sea clams are being sold to the Yangon market. It is reported that during the month of March alone, up to 49,000 viss of sea clams were sold. In April, that amount increased to 77,000 viss.
