A youth fine art performance marking the 75th anniversary of China-Myanmar diplomatic relations was held yesterday morning at the National Theatre in Yangon.
Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan, the Chair of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association, officials from the Chinese Embassy, Chinese Culture Centre (Yangon), the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon), the Myanmar Tourism Federation, and the Myanmar-China Business Cooperation and Development Association attended the event.

In Tatumbla, a town from Hondurus, hens and roosters in costume compete in the "Best Dressed Hen" contest.

The event celebrates the roots of this Honduran town, whose name means "abundance of roosters and hens" in the Indigenous Lenca language.

Firefighters battled a wildfire in the town of La Rumorosa, Baja California, Mexico.

Authorities estimate that the fire has burned more than 12,000 acres of woodland and brush since it started 12 days ago. "Unfortunately, while there is a lot of help, the fire has been spreading way too fast," said La Rumorosa resident.
