Indonesia's Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman is set to distribute 10,000 tons of rice to Palestine. The aid was symbolically handed over to Palestinian Agriculture Minister Basheer-Salimia at the Ministry of Agriculture office on July 7. Beyond food aid, the two countries also agreed on broader agricultural cooperation.

The meeting established a Palestine-Indonesia Solidarity Investment Zone in agriculture, allocating between 10,000 and 15,000 hectares of land in South Sumatra. Through this cooperation, both nations aim to strengthen food security and create sustainable support systems for the Palestinian people.

Spanish authorities lifted lockdown measures for thousands of villagers in the northeastern Catalonia region on Wednesday as firefighters began taming a forest fire raging for a third day.

The blaze, started on Monday has burned more than 3,300 hectares in Tarragona province, with the protected Els Ports natural park making up around one-third of the affected area. According to the Catalan civil protection authority, a stay-at-home order for around 18,000 people decreed on Tuesday was lifted except for the municipality of Pauls.

Greece's iconic Acropolis has been closed temporarily amid the second major heatwave of 2025, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in many places across the country on Tuesday.

The Hellenic National Meteorological Service issued high-level alerts for southern Greece and southeastern islands, warning of significant disruption to daily activities.
Meteorologists predict the heatwave will persist through Wednesday before temperatures gradually decline nationwide starting Thursday.

The three astronauts from China's Shenzhou-19 crewed mission met the press on Wednesday, their first public appearance after returning to Earth in April.

The Astronaut Center of China (ACC) held the press conference in Beijing in which the three astronauts shared their experience of the 183-day mission in space. The Shenzhou-19 astronauts have so far completed their quarantine and recuperation stages, and have now moved to the observation stage, according to the press conference.

At present, the crew are in good physical and mental condition and the results of their various medical examinations are all normal. Their muscular strength, stamina and cardio functions have recovered to pre-space mission levels. The three astronauts will resume normal training once they complete all recovery stages and health evaluations.

The 12th World Congress on High-speed Rail opened in Beijing on Tuesday, gathering over 2,000 representatives from more than 60 countries, regions, and international organizations.

Running from Tuesday to Friday, the event was jointly organized by the China State Railway Group Corporation Limited and the International Union of Railways (UIC).  At the opening ceremony, the China State Railway Group released a report on the development of the country’s high-speed railway. 

Over 40 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, North America and Africa have been working with China on railway planning, design, construction and operation. Initiated by the UIC in 1992, the UIC World Congress on High-Speed Rail has been held every two to three years since.

Chinese President Xi Jinping Monday paid tribute to martyrs who died in the Hundred-Regiment Campaign during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression, in Yangquan of north China's Shanxi Province.

At the monument square honoring the martyrs, Xi paid a visit to the memorial hall and reviewed the history of the CPC leading both the military and civilians in the courageous fight against Japanese invaders and the local efforts to carry out revolutionary history education and promote the great spirit of resisting aggression.

The film is based on a novel by Ei (Aryon Oo), with the screenplay adapted by Yazawin Ko and directed by Ei (Aryon Oo) for TMW Film Production.
Described as a naturalistic romantic-comedy, the film weaves together a series of humorous and relatable moments often experienced by young people. French Member of Parliament Olivier Marleix was found dead in his home on Monday. Marleix, the 54-year-old former leader of the Republicans party in the National Assembly, reportedly committed suicide, according to French media.

An investigation has been opened, and an autopsy is planned to establish the precise cause of his death. Members of the French Parliament observed a minute of silence in memory of Marleix, while President Emmanuel Macron extended his condolences on X.

Love bugs normally live in subtropical climates. Since 2022, love bugs have been swarming in and around Seoul, South Korea, during June and July. While lovebugs don't pose a direct threat to humans, their sheer numbers and tendency to stick to surfaces have led to complaints from residents.

The local governments and the environment ministry have joined in pest control efforts. This phenomenon is linked to rising temperatures due to climate change and the recent study predicts that they could spread across the entire Korean Peninsula by 2070.
