The Information Team of the State Administration Council has extended an invitation to armed groups, including the so-called PDF, to return to the legal fold in an effort to build a Union based on democracy and a federal system. According to a statement issued on Friday, these groups are urged to contact nearby military stations and administrative bodies in order to work together with the government and the Tatmadaw for the benefit of the nation and the regions.

The statement noted that the CRPH and NUG have portrayed themselves as the elected government despite the lack of formal recognition of their leadership. In an attempt to conceal election fraud and their unlawful efforts to seize state power, they spread propaganda accusing the Tatmadaw of undermining the democratic process.

This led armed organizations, including the PDF, to choose the path of armed resistance. The government, the people, the Tatmadaw, ethnic armed organizations, and legally established political parties all share the goal of building a Union based on democracy and a federal system.

The statement also mentioned that the armed groups share this same aspiration. The State Administration Council is working to hold a free and fair multi-party democratic general election under its 5-point Road Map. Currently, 54 political parties have confirmed their participation in the election, a step toward democracy and a federal Union.

If the path of armed resistance continues, it will bring no benefit to the nation and will instead undermine the democratic process. Ongoing armed conflicts have already claimed the lives of many youths, resulting in the loss of valuable human resources for the country.

The desired goals can only be achieved through full cooperation in the election process, contributing to regional peace, stability, and the development of all sectors. The emergence of democracy and a federal Union, along with constitutional amendments appropriate to a new Union, must be carried out through negotiations with the new Hluttaw and government formed after the election.

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs o U Than Swe received Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Mr. Dusit Manapan at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and European Council President Antonio Costa in Brussels, Belgium, on Wednesday, pledging to uphold multilateralism and strengthen cooperation.

Noting that both the European Union (EU) and China are supporters of multilateralism, Costa said the EU is willing to work with China to uphold mutual respect, transcend differences, promote understanding, and jointly address global challenges.

The EU stands ready to work with China to ensure the full success of the next EU-China leaders’ meeting, he said, adding that the EU will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China policy. Wang, said that China regards Europe as an important pole in a multipolar world, and China has always supported European integration and is glad to see the EU enhance its strategic autonomy and play a greater role in the international arena.

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung held his first press conference marking 30 days in office on July 3. The president vowed to resume inter-Korean dialogue. In his first formal press conference since inauguration, President Lee Jae Myung has defined the first 30 days of his term as a time devoted to restoring people’s livelihood.

The president also said that he declared a democratic Korea’s return to the international community by attending the G7 Summit held last month. Lee expressed high expectations for the three recently launched special probes into allegations surrounding the Yoon Suk Yeol administration, calling them a journey to a righteous integration of the nation.

Thailand saw its third person helming the Prime Minister's office in a week on Thursday, as the king swore in a new cabinet. The prime minister's office was upheaved on Tuesday when the Constitutional Court suspended Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra pending an ethics probe which could take months.

Power passed to transport Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit who took office for only one full day. Former Defence Minister Phumtham Wechayachai was sworn in as Interior Minister by the king on Thursday morning, taking on a deputy prime minister role.

The Thai government said in a statement on social media that the new cabinet approved Phumtham's role as Acting Prime Minister at its first meeting.  Before Paetongtarn was ousted she assigned herself the role of Culture Minister in the new cabinet.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ghana on Wednesday, the first Indian leader to visit the cocoa-rich country in three decades. Modi is also due to address the Ghanaian parliament in the capital, Accra, and meet members of the Indian community in the largest gold-producing country in Africa.

Accra is the first stop in a tour that will take the Indian premier to Caribbean and South American countries. In a statement before his departure, Modi said Ghana was "a valued partner in the Global South", praising its role in regional blocs including the African Union and the Economic Community of West African States.

The last time an Indian prime minister visited Ghana was in 1995. India says there are around 15,000 Indians living in Ghana, some of whom have been in the country since its independence nearly 70 years ago.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued an order to enact a law to suspend the country's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday. The law calls for a suspension of cooperation with the IAEA until Iran's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its nuclear facilities and scientists are fully guaranteed, said Constitutional Council Spokesman.

Pezeshkian issued the order on Tuesday in a letter to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Supreme National Security Council, said the report. The law, passed by the Iranian parliament last Wednesday, was approved by the Constitutional Council said the spokesman.

US President Donald Trump has toured a new immigration detention center built in a wetland in Florida, teeming with alligators. On Tuesday, Trump visited the facility located within an airport. The complex is dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz" after a prison on Alcatraz Island in California that was closed in 1963, as it has been claimed those held there could be attacked by alligators if they escape.

A news agency said the facility could house some 5,000 people, with the first of them expected to start arriving as soon as Wednesday. In May this year, Trump said he was directing the Department of Justice and other federal agencies to "reopen a substantially enlarged and rebuilt ALCATRAZ" to house illegal immigrants.
