Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

The Crown Prince said his country hoped the truce would contribute to regional stability, and emphasized Riyadh's position "in supporting dialogue through diplomatic means as a path to resolving disputes.

According to the Saudi ministry, Abbas expressed his gratitude" to Riyadh for its condemnation of Israel's attacks on Iran last month. Iranian foreign ministry said, Abbas held "fruitful conversations" with Prince Mohammed, as well as Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Defence Minister Prince Khaled bin Salman about bilateral relations and developments in the region.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva receives Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Brasilia, a day after the BRICS summit. Modi was welcomed by Brazilian presidential guard at the Alvorada Presidential Palace.

After watching the presidential guard perform, Lula awarded Modi with the "National Order of the South Cross". In his statement, Modi said at a time when the world is going through a phase of conflict and uncertainty, India-Brazil partnership is an important pillar of stability and balance. He also expressed his belief that all such disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

King Charles III and Emmanuel Macron both hail a new era in UK-France relations as the French president began a three-day formal visit to Britain, the first by an EU head of state since Brexit.

At a state banquet for French president Emmanuel Macron at Windsor Castle, King Charles III said that the relationship between UK and France is "essential" to preserving peace in Europe and the two nations will face the multitude of complex challenges together.  An "Entente" not only past and present, but for the future and no longer just cordial, but now amicable, he added.

After attending the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Brasilia, Brazil Tuesday.

With the aim to deepen India–Brazil Strategic Partnership, Modi is set to meet with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation across a wide range of sectors including trade, defence, energy, space, technology, agriculture, health, and cultural exchange.

Japan's Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako Tuesday attended a welcoming ceremony in Mongolia's capital Ulaanbaatar before meeting with President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and his wife at the State Palace.

Naruhito’s visit marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. During a weeklong visit, Japan would focus on boosting trade with the nation of 3.5 million, whose resources of coal, copper and other minerals are largely exported to China.

French President Emmanuel Macron began a three-day state visit to Britain on Tuesday.

Macron and First Lady were welcomed to Windsor by King Charles and Queen Camilla, on the first day of their state visit.  During the visit, Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will discuss matters on tackling irregular migration, enhancing defense and security co-operation of the two countries, and boosting trade and investment.

After meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump voiced his confidence Monday that Hamas was willing to agree a truce with Israel. 

At the White House press, Trump said that "They want to meet and they want to have that ceasefire" when asked if clashes involving Israeli soldiers would derail talks. Relating the possible resumption of nuclear talks with Iran, Trump's Middle East special envoy Steve Witkoff added that the talks would take place "in the next week or so."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday he has nominated Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, presenting the US president with a letter he sent to the prize committee. "He's forging peace as we speak, in one country, in one region after the other," Netanyahu said at a dinner with Trump at the White House.

The Republican has complained that he had been overlooked by the Norwegian Nobel Committee for his mediating role in conflicts between India and Pakistan, as well as Serbia and Kosovo. He has also demanded credit for "keeping peace" between Egypt and Ethiopia and brokering the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements aiming to normalize relations between Israel and several Arab nations.

Trump campaigned for office as a "peacemaker" who would use his negotiating skills to quickly end wars in Ukraine and Gaza, although both conflicts are still raging more than five months into his presidency.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Tuesday that he would visit China as Beijing looks to build on partnerships on AI, green energy and the digital economy. This would be Albanese's second visit to China as prime minister, after his re-election in May. China is the largest trading partner of Australia and the visit would review the 10-year-old free trade agreement between the two countries to boost ties in agriculture and mining, and explore growth areas in new technologies.

The United Nations Command (UNC) held a ceremony to celebrate its 75th anniversary at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. The UNC was established in 1950 as a multinational military force supporting South Korea during and after the Korean War. It is a multinational command consisting of 17 member states that contributed forces to defend South Korea during the war.
