Authorities have seized two million stimulant tablets worth approximately K3 billion in Padaung Township, which were allegedly being transported to Rakhine State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.The seizure took place at around 9:30 pm on 21 July near the intersection of Yekyaw Village Road along the Pathein-Monywa Road, following a tip-off from a public informant. A combined anti-narcotics task force conducted the operation.Initial investigations revealed that the drugs were being transported from Yangon to Kyangin Township in Ayeyawady Region. Two suspects named Kyaw Kyaw Win, the main handler, and his accomplice Khin Maung Lwin, were arrested in Mingaladon Township.Further raids led to the arrest of Myat Min who participated in drug trafficking from the house of Ko Ko Naing in Mingaladon Township, along with the confiscation of a Canter box and two minicabs used in the drug trafficking operation. Another suspect, Soe Min, was apprehended in Kyangin Township, and his Lifan-brand vehicle was seized for trafficking stimulant tablets from Kyangin to Padaung townships.Police said the drugs were intended to be shipped to Rakhine State under the directive of Tin Aung Moe, with the assistance of Min Sithu and Phoe Aye. The suspects had temporarily stored the tablets at Ko Ko Naing’s house in Yangon before moving them to Kyangin.The drugs were trafficked from Kyangin to Padaung in a Lifan vehicle driven by Soe Min and Tint Swe, with plans to transport them to Rakhine State by Ye Naing and Moe Hti.Authorities have taken legal action against the arrested individuals and are continuing investigations to uncover further links in the drug trafficking network. — MNA/KZL
