Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region

Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 2 August 2025 at 3:45 PM, a report stated that a man and a child with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Kyauktaga Township Public Hospital of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Hla Win (64 years old) and Ma La Yeik (five years old), both residents of Say Yoe Khin Village in Kyauktaga Township. The incident occurred when a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into the victim’s village. One of the shells exploded in the vicinity of the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
