Hanoi held a special art event, “Hanoi – From the historic autumn of 1945,” at August Revolution Square on the night of August 15. The event, attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, marked celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and upcoming National Day.

The performance featured three chapters and six acts, recreating key moments in Hanoi’s history, from the 1945 Declaration of Independence to the “Điện Biên Phủ in the Air” battle and the present day. Music, lighting, and modern technology were used to bring the historical milestones to life, inspiring national pride and appreciation for past generations.

Bus accident kills 18 in Algeria
On August 15, a passenger bus veered off a bridge and fell into the Oued El Harrach streambed at around 5:45 p.m. local time, killing 18 people and injuring 24 others, including two in critical condition, Algeria’s Civil Protection agency reported.
