Child Killed, Four Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region

Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.


Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 1 June 2025 at 7:30 PM, when a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into Wa Thon Da Ra Village in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region. The shells exploded within the village. As a result, Mg Kar Yan Moe (two years old), a resident of the village, died on the spot from the blasts. Additionally, four other residents Mg Arkar Moe (12 years old), Daw Nwe Nwe Oo (42 years old), U Kyaw Moe (37 years old) and U Nay Shine (29 years old), sustained shrapnel injuries. All injured individuals were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.


Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians have been injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
