Innocent Civilian Injured by Two Explosive Devices Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Gangaw Township of Magway Region

  • An innocent civilian was injured in explosions caused by two explosive devices planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group in Gangaw Township of Magway Region.

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 June 2025 at 9:40 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Gangaw Township District Public Hospital of Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that a vehicle, driven by U Aung Moe, accompanied by U Zaw Win Lat (41 years old), a resident of Shone She Village in Gangaw Township, were travelling from Mandalay City to Gangaw Town along the Mandalay-Gangaw road. When the vehicle reached the area near Lal Ma Village, two explosive devices planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded on the roadside. As a result, U Zaw Win Lat sustained shrapnel injuries, while U Aung Moe fortunately remained unharmed. The vehicle also sustained significant damage from the blasts, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
