Two Innocent Civilians Injured Explosive Device Planted by Terrorist Group in Hsihseng Township of Southern Shan State

  • Two innocent civilians were injured in an explosion caused by an explosive device planted by a terrorist group in Hsihseng Township of Southern Shan State.

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 June 2025 at 10:30 AM, a report stated that two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to the Hsihseng Township Public Hospital of Southern Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that a vehicle, driven by Daw San San Aye (30 years old), accompanied by Ma Thal (17 years old) and Ma Win Phyu Sin (16 years old). All three are residents of Naung Htaw Ywar Thit Village in Hsihseng Township. They were on their way to Hsihseng Town for school enrollment. When their vehicle reached the junction of the Naung Bo-Naung Htaw Ywar Thit road, an explosive device planted by a terrorist group, exploded on the roadside. As a result, Ma Thal and Ma Win Phyu Sin sustained shrapnel injuries. Fortunately, Daw San San Aye was unharmed, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
