Terrorist groups are committing inhumane acts with the intent to disrupt the education system, which is dedicated to improving and advancing children's learning. These acts include the destruction of school textbooks and stationery, the intimidation and abduction of education staff and students, targeted killings, and the planting of explosive devices to destroy educational buildings.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 31 May 2025 at 8:00 AM, a report stated that a so-called PDF terrorist group had intimidated the headmistress of the Sub-Basic Education Middle School in Nyaung Pin Kone Village, Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region. Upon further investigation, security personnel discovered that the incident had occurred that while the headmistress, Daw Khin Mar San (49 years old), a resident of the village, was returning on her motorcycle from Myo Thar Village. When she arrived at the junction of Tha Yet Kan on the Myo Thar-Wet Luu Road, five so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles, brandishing weapons. They forced her to stop and threatened her, demanding that to refrain from accepting student enrollment, going to school, or going to office. They warned, “If you go to school or office, we cannot guarantee your survival—we will kill you. After threatening, the group fled the scene, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
