Since the Tatmadaw has completely regained control of Naungcho Township, local ethnic residents who had temporarily left their homes are now returning.

To assist them, staff from the Naungcho Township Immigration and Population Department Office began on July 21st to conduct fieldwork at No. 1 Basic Education High School in Naungcho. They are helping residents replace lost or damaged household registration lists and national identity cards, which were misplaced or destroyed during their temporary displacement.

On July 21st and 22nd, during these fieldwork efforts, 60 local residents who returned to Naungcho were assisted with filling out necessary documents and personal information. They were then issued new household registration lists and national identity cards. This process will continue to be provided consistently for the benefit of local residents, it’s learnt.

Drug Trafficking Ring: A drug trafficking ring busted in Insein of Yangon
A drug trafficking ring that used maritime routes to transport and sell psychotropic substances valued at over 48.4 billion Kyats was apprehended in Insein Township, according to Myanmar Police Force.The incident unfolded on July 12 at 6:30 PM, when a joint team from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, acting on a tip-off, raided a rented house in Kyo East Ward, Insein Township, leased by Thein Win Tun and Tun Tun Lin (also known as Ko Tun). There, they arrested Zaw Zaw Lwin and seized 1,875 kilograms of ICE (methamphetamine), with a local value of 46.875 billion Kyats, 1.6 million stimulant tablets (valued at 1.6 billion Kyats), and one TOYOTA DYNA vehicle.Based on follow-up investigations, Nay Myo Kyaw, who allegedly transferred the seized psychotropic drugs, was apprehended at 7:00 PM on Parami Road in Ward (16), Hlaing Township. On July 15, intelligence indicated that Kyi Phyu (also known as Kyaw Win Htay), responsible for transporting the psychotropic drugs, and Zaw Min Naing had fled towards Dawei.Operations to apprehend them led to their arrest near Nyaung Khashay Village in Waw Township, along with a KLUGER vehicle. It was discovered that Kyi Phyu (also known as Kyaw Win Htay) was an absconding fugitive wanted in connection with a drug case.Later that same day, at 4:30 PM, Soe Lin Paing (also known as Lin Lin), who was responsible for transporting the psychotropic drugs by sea to Malaysian territorial waters, was arrested at Nawaday Bridge in Pyay Township. On July 16, at 10:30 AM, Ye Tun (also known as Pae Nin or Poe Thargi ), the owner of the motorized boat used for transportation from the Yangon River estuary to Malaysian territorial waters, was apprehended in Pathein Gyi Township.Ye Tun was also identified as an absconding fugitive wanted in a drug case. Finally, on July 17, at 4:30 PM, Thein Than Htay (also known as Zaw Zaw Aung or Nga Htay ), the owner of the Aung Yadana motorized boat responsible for transporting the psychotropic drugs to the Yangon River estuary, along with Kyaw Swar Min (also known as Min Min) and Myo Tun (also known as Ko Tun), were arrested in Mingaladon Township.All arrested individuals are facing legal action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. Further investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in this criminal network. It has been revealed that this drug trafficking ring has repeatedly engaged in the maritime transportation and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances to foreign countries.Consequently, measures are being taken to initiate further action under the Anti-Money Laundering Law to seize the financial proceeds and assets acquired from their drug trafficking activities as public property.mitv

In Naungcho Township, Shan State (North), which has been brought back under control by the Tatmadaw through counter-terrorism operations to ensure the peaceful lives of its people, the government is actively undertaking rehabilitation efforts.Officials from the state government and members of the Tatmadaw are collaborating to provide security and essential aid to local residents, reopen government offices to restore administrative mechanisms, reopen schools for children's education, and reopen hospitals for public healthcare services.It is learnt that immediately after the Tatmadaw regained control of Naungcho, the Prime Minister's first directive was to promptly reopen the basic education schools, which had been closed for nearly a year, so that students could pursue their education peacefully and happily.Consequently, on July 22, student enrollment began at No. 1 Basic Education High School in Naungcho. Tatmadaw personnel, teachers, education staff, and local parents all collaborated to ensure a smooth enrollment process, with 165 students enrolling this day.Tatmadaw personnel also undertook necessary mine clearance, security, and school environment clean-up operations to ensure students can learn peacefully, happily, cleanly, and safely. Furthermore, at No. 2 Basic Education High School, No. 2 Basic Education Primary School, No. 3 Basic Education Primary School, and Thabyay Yay Basic Education Primary School in Naungcho Township, Tatmadaw personnel are clearing bushes and weeds, digging drainage ditches, pruning trees for light, and spraying for mosquitoes to ensure the cleanliness and pleasantness of the school compounds, facilitating their reopening.As per the Prime Minister's second directive, the 25-bed Naungcho Township People’s Hospital, which was destroyed by terrorist insurgents, is being urgently repaired to restore its original condition and resume regular healthcare services. While the hospital is undergoing repairs, a temporary hospital has been set up at the Myanan Tawwin Mingalar Hall, where the Tatmadaw and the Ministry of Health are jointly providing medical treatment.On this day, 182 local ethnic people received health check-ups, treatment for dengue fever and general ailments, and vaccinations. Additionally, security forces continue to carry out area security operations to ensure the stability, peace, and long-term development of Naungcho Township, enabling local ethnic people to peacefully engage in socio-economic activities.mitv

The State Administration Council is inviting individuals involved with armed opposition groups, including those using the name PDF and various other organizations, to return to the rule of law.The SAC is also providing necessary assistance to those who have returned. The Tatmadaw has successfully regained complete control of the area around Taung Kham and Naungcho Township, which were temporarily held by terrorist insurgents.Local ethnic people have joyfully welcomed and supported this, and their enthusiastic support and trust, along with their cooperation with the Tatmadaw, have led to members of armed terrorist groups understanding the peace process and returning to the rule of law.Among those returning to the rule of law, on 22nd July, 19 members of the DPLA group abandoned the armed path and re-entered the legal fold through nearby Tatmadaw camps. This was due to their desire to live peacefully within the law and their trust in the Tatmadaw's peace initiatives. Regarding the return of ethnic armed group members and those using the name PDF, from July 17th to today, 4 TNLA members, 15 MDY-PDF members, and 41 DPLA members have returned, bringing with them 13 assorted weapons, 1515 assorted rounds of ammunition, and 12 magazines.Furthermore, it is understood that there are still individuals who wish to return to the rule of law. Therefore, those who wish to return are advised to promptly contact their nearest district or township administration offices, military camps, or police stations. They will be welcomed and provided with necessary assistance, and rewards will be given for weapons and ammunition.mitv
