The donation ceremony for relief items provided by the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) of the People’s Republic of China to assist earthquake-affected people in the Mandalay Region was held at the Thiri Ratana Hall of the Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs (MNCWA) office in Nay Pyi Taw on July 23rd.The event was attended by the Chairman of the MNCWA, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win, who delivered a speech of appreciation.In his speech, Union Minister Dr. Soe Win expressed gratitude and noted that emergency rescue operations in Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, and Shan State were carried out with both national and international support following the powerful earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025. He acknowledged that China promptly provided relief items such as tents, temporary shelters, food, household goods, medicines, medical supplies, diesel fuel, and mobile surgical units.Additionally, China supported search and rescue efforts for those trapped in buildings and provided emergency healthcare services. He extended special thanks and warm welcome to the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) for donating household relief goods valued at approximately 180 million Kyats, as well as to the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD), and the Myanmar-Chinese Cooperation and Communication Center for their collaborative support.Following the Union Minister’s remarks, Mr. Wang Lei, representative from the Myanmar Office of the China Foundation for Peace and Development, gave a speech regarding the donation. U Thitsa (also known as Mr. Li BoBo), Senior President of the Myanmar-China Cooperation and Communication Association and Chairman of the Wushu Federation of Myanmar, also explained the organization’s activities.Finally, Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs Dr. Thet Thet Zin, expressed gratitude in return and presented certificates of honor to the donating organizations.
