On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Kingdom of Cambodia which falls on 12 July 2025, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing exchanged congratulatory messages with King of the Kingdom of Cambodia His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, President of the Cambodia’s Senate Samdech Hun Sen, and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Manet.

On the same occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe exchanged a congratulatory message with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Mr. Prak Sokhonn.

Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov arrives in North Korea
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is visiting North Korea, in the latest sign of the two countries' deepening ties. Lavrov arrived in the eastern city of Wonsan on Friday night. North Korea is trying to draw Russian tourists to a new coastal resort in the area.Russia's Foreign Ministry says Lavrov will meet his North Korean counterpart Choe Son Hui during his stay through Sunday. They are expected to discuss a plan for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to visit Russia. Lavrov is expected to hand Kim a letter from President Vladimir Putin.
