LIONEL Messi grabbed the equalizer as a misfiring Inter Miami were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

THE Tokyo government has launched a new dating app for smartphones that uses artificial intelligence to match people who are serious about marriage based on their values.

Tokyo Enmusubi, meaning Tokyo matchmaking, is available for people over 18 who live in or commute to the Japanese capital. Users undergo an online interview upon registration, and they must also submit photo identification and documents proving their income and that they are legally single to ensure security on the platform.

RUSSIA has the initiative on the battlefield when it comes to the conflict with Ukraine, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told US media on Monday.

“The Russians have the initiative on the battlefield,” Vucic said, when asked about Ukraine’s prospects in the conflict.

Earlier this month, the Ukrainian military admitted that they were outnumbered by Russian troops and outgunned as well.

FRENCH Prime Minister Michel Barnier delivered a comprehensive one-and-a-half-hour speech Tuesday in the National Assembly, detailing his government’s key priorities including public deficit reduction, immigration reform, and retirement policies.

Barnier set ambitious target for France’s public deficit, aiming to bring it down to five per cent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2025 from this year’s six per cent, and further down to three per cent in 2029.

ON Saturday, Middle Eastern nations and Hezbollah’s allies responded to the reported killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by Israeli airstrikes in Beirut.

Hezbollah confirmed his death, stating he had been a leader for over 30 years and was killed in a “treacherous” attack in a stronghold area of Beirut.

Israel’s military hailed Nasrallah as one of its greatest adversaries, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declaring that his death avenged many Israeli casualties.

THE China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) unveiled the exterior design of the country’s moon-landing spacesuit for the first time on Saturday, soliciting its name from the public.

Displayed on the third Spacesuit Technology Forum hosted by the China Astronaut Research and Training Centre in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality, the white moon-landing spacesuit is decorated with red stripes.

SOUTH Korea’s export grew for the 12th straight month due to strong demand for locally-made semiconductors and automobiles, government data

showed Tuesday.

Export, which accounts for about half of the export-driven economy, gained 7.5 per cent from a year earlier to US$58.77 billion in September, continuing to increase since October last year, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
