Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, on June 27, met with Myanmar scholars studying in Belarus during his official visit.

The Prime Minister delivered a speech encouraging the cadets to study diligently, respect themselves, and become valuable human resources for the country’s future. He stressed the importance of mastering their respective subjects, staying updated with modern technologies, and maintaining strong discipline. He reminded them that they were selected to study abroad for their potential and urged them to represent the military and the country with pride.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the country’s political developments, stating that the Tatmadaw assumed responsibility in 2021 due to election fraud. He said a free and fair multi-party democratic election would be held soon, and preparations were underway to ensure voter participation and transparency. After the meeting, the Prime Minister provided foodstuff and cash assistance to the cadets.

This year at the Eurobike Bicycle Trade Fair in Frankfurt, Germany new transmission technologies are in the spotlight. 

Erik Van Kooten, Manager of Q’Auto, Shimano Europe said "At Shimano, we are always looking for new innovations, and there is a lot of innovations in the products that we already have, but not so much for traditional analogue bikes. So we said okay let's try to make automatic shifting workable on a traditional analogue bike. So that also people riding in the city or on a trekking bike without engines can make use of automatic shifting in the end."

Eurobike 2025 is taking place from June 25 to 29 at Messe Frankfurt.

French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou signed a major funding agreement to improve transport links in the Alps ahead of the 2030 Winter Olympics. The package includes €342 million for upgrades to rail infrastructure and another €150 million for improvements to the road network, aimed at ensuring better access to alpine venues.

A set of China’s iconic terracotta warriors is being displayed at a world-exclusive exhibition opening in Perth this weekend. 

This will be the largest curation the Boola Bardip museum of WA has ever hosted and at the heart of this exhibition are these ancient Terracotta Warriors.  The exhibition will open this weekend and will run for eight months. It’s expected to draw in huge crowds of around 180,000 people from across Australia and the world.

North Korea's state-run KCTV has publicly shown leader Kim Jong Un at the opening ceremony of the sprawling Wonsan – Kalma coastal tourist zone in Kangwon Province. Conceived in 2014, the project aims to transform the Kalma Peninsula into a major tourist destination, with more than 150 hotel and accommodation buildings along the 4–5 km Myongsasimni beach.

It's been described as the “first big step” toward boosting North Korea’s tourism industry and earning foreign currency. Facilities include hotels, water‑parks, exhibition halls, and even presidential‑style suites.

The Myanmar high-level delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the Republic of Belarus, visited the Belmedpreparaty pharmaceutical factory in Minsk yesterday morning.
At the factory, the Senior General and the party were welcomed by Minister of Health Mr Aliaksandr Khajayeu of the Republic of Belarus and factory officials.
The Senior General viewed round medical treatment supporting vehicles showcased in front of the factory and asked what he wanted to know.
He visited the booth of pharmaceuticals produced by Belarus, and a display of machinery used in medical treatment and discussed topics over clarifications.
At the meeting hall of the factory, the Senior General and the party held a meeting with the Belarusian Minister of Health and officials. They exchanged views on the potential for cooperation in the health sector between the two countries, the situation of using medicines and medical equipment produced by Belarus in Myanmar, and a plan to hold detailed discussions between officials of the Belmedpreparaty Pharmaceutical Factory and health officials from Myanmar.
The Senior General viewed the production process of the factory and asked what he wanted to know about the topics, with clarifications by officials.

King Charles hosted American actor George Clooney and British lawyer Amal Clooney in Buckingham Palace as he meets the winners of the King's Trust Awards 2025, a day ahead of its official ceremony. The winners, who have overcome challenges including poor mental health, trouble in education, and unemployment with the help of The Trust, came together for a celebration.

His Majesty also took a moment to celebrate King’s Trust International’s 10th Anniversary of supporting young people outside of the UK, by cutting a special birthday cake, which in a rare opportunity, the winner of the Global Young Achiever Award, Roslyn, was able to help create.

Twenty-nine students taking their high school exams in the Central African Republic died in a stampede sparked by an exploding power transformer, the health ministry told on Thursday. Just over 5,300 pupils were sitting the second day of the baccalaureat exams at the time of the explosion early Wednesday afternoon in Bangui.

President Faustin Archange Touadera, who was attending a summit of the Gavi vaccine alliance in Brussels, announced three days of national mourning. According to a document circulating on social media and authenticated by the health ministry, 29 deaths were registered by hospitals in the city.

Education Minister said in a statement Wednesday that "measures will be taken quickly to shed light on the circumstances of this incident". The minister added that a further statement would follow regarding a date for the students to resume their exams programme.

Devotees in the Philippines covered themselves in mud and prayed for world peace in an annual festival to pass on the legacy of World War Two.

The event started before dawn on Tuesday. Participants bathed in rice fields to smear their bodies with mud believed to eradicate bad luck, and dressed themselves in dried banana leaves.  Then they walked in the early light to a Catholic church to offer prayers.

More than 2,000 people flocked to the church in a village in northern Luzon Island for the celebration. Local residents said Japanese Imperial troops were preparing to kill villagers in 1944, but a sudden heavy downpour dispersed the forces. The villagers believed the rain was a blessing sent by Saint John the Baptist.
