To celebrate the 28th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison held an open day event starting on Saturday. The national flag-raising ceremony was held on Saturday.

After the flag-raising ceremony, the PLA HK Garrison prepared various performances such as the military band formation, combat performance, and helicopter show. During the two-day event, the Chinese PLA Hong Kong Garrison’s Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks, Shek Kong Barracks and San Wai Barracks will be open to the public, which allows Hong Kong residents to know more about the military life and the motherland.

China on Saturday began constructing two advanced telescopes at the Lenghu Astronomical Observation Base in Qinghai Province, including a groundbreaking 4.2-meter dedicated astrometric telescope for precise solar system measurements.

The telescope, developed by the Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, represents China’s first single-mirror astronomical telescope with an aperture exceeding 4 meters.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Shwe Pyi Agriculture and Livestock Breeding Zone under the Myanmar Economic Corporation in Hmawby Township of Yangon Region on Saturday.

In the briefing hall, officials provided update reports on work implementations, breeding of poultry and pig, cultivation of maize and construction of animal feed factory. The Prime Minister instructed for systematic sales of the produces and boosting production to meet the demand of consumers.

Defense Minister Nakatani Gen on Thursday ordered the dispatch of the aircraft to the African country to be on standby amid the conflict between Israel and Iran.
