Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Belarus President Mr. Alexander Gregoryevich Lukashenko at the Presidential Palace in Minsk on June 27.

During the talks, both leaders discussed strengthening cooperation between Myanmar and Belarus in various sectors including politics, health, humanitarian assistance, and economic development. Russia and Ukraine have agreed to hold the third round of negotiations after completing their war prisoner exchange, and the transfer of bodies of dead militants, negotiated in Istanbul on June 2.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday after the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk. He added that the time and place of the third-round talks need to be agreed on, and the draft memoranda between Russia and Ukraine on the settlement should become the subject of discussion.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda signed a comprehensive peace agreement in Washington on Friday, pledging to end more than 30 years of conflict in the Great Lakes region.

The signing ceremony was attended by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, DRC Foreign Minister and Rwandan Foreign Minister, along with senior officials from the African Union, the State of Qatar, and the U.S. Congress.

The agreement outlines commitments to respect territorial integrity, halt hostilities, disengage and disarm armed forces, and conditionally integrate non-state armed groups. India Defence Minister held a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Admiral on the sidelines of the SCO Defence Ministers meet in Qingdao, China. The United States said Thursday it has approved its first direct funding for a controversial Israeli-supported relief effort in the Gaza Strip and urged other countries to follow suit. Ukraine and Russia on Thursday carried out another round of their prisoner exchange, according to Ukraine's Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. The swap involved soldiers under the age of 25, as well as ill and wounded servicemen from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service, the agency said in a statement.

Most of those released had been in captivity for more than three years, with some having taken part in the battles for Mariupol, the statement said. All returning soldiers will undergo medical examination, receive psychological support and physical rehabilitation, it said. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky emphasized in his post on Telegram the importance of bringing all Ukrainians home from Russian captivity.
