So-Called PDF Terrorist Group Posts Threatening Letters at Schools to Disrupt Education Sector in Kamma Township of Magway Region

Terrorist groups are committing inhumane acts with the intent to disrupt the education system, which is dedicated to improving and advancing children’s learning. These acts include the destruction of school textbooks and stationery, the intimidation and abduction of education staff and students, targeted killings and the planting of explosive devices to destroy educational buildings.

Terrorist groups are committing inhumane acts with the intent to disrupt the education system, which is dedicated to improving and advancing children’s learning. These acts include the destruction of school textbooks and stationery, the intimidation and abduction of education staff and students, targeted killings and the planting of explosive devices to destroy educational buildings.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 June 2025 at 12:30 PM, a report stated that a threatening letter was found at the Sub-Basic Education High School in Kyauk Saung Village, Kamma Township of Magway Region. Upon further investigation, security personnel discovered that the letter had been attached to the entrance gate door of the school. The letter read “This is our final warning. We do not care even if you report about us understand? Teachers, headmasters, this is our last notice. Be careful. You vile traitors, we can strike you at any time. Prepare to die, you dogs”. The letter was under signed as “Battalion 4”. Security personnel removed the letter from the premises, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

They entered the school compound, destroyed the school office door and cabinets, removed the national flag and its pole and scribbled obscenities on school cabinets and attendance record books. They also hoisted a PDF flag on a bamboo pole within the school compound before leaving the scene, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:00 AM, approximately 30 so-called PDF terrorists arrived at the Basic Education Primary School in Padauk Kone Village of Htantabin Township. They entered the school compound, removed the national flag and take it with them before leaving the scene, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.

Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from civil servant’s families and local civilians, as well as killings.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 June 2025 at 10:10 AM, U Tun Naing Oo (38 years old) and his wife Ma Mar Mar Oo (23 years old), both residents of U Tho Ywar Thit Village in Minhla Township of Bago Region, were travelling by motorcycle to Gangaw Pin Village, located approximately two and a half miles northeast of their village. When they reached an area between Bo Ta Htaung Village and Gangaw Pin Village, six so-called PDF terrorists, riding on three motorcycles, followed them, forced them to stop, and abducted U Tun Naing Oo. He was taken away, leaving his wife behind, it is reported.
Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend, and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.

When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that U Tin Myint Swe (59 years old), a resident of the village, was working in a banana plantation approximately 700 meters south of his village. He was stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, which then detonated. As a result, U Tin Myint Swe died on the spot, it is reported.

When he reached the area near an agricultural farm in No.2 Ward, he was stopped by a terrorist group and stabbed him to death, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.

When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that U Htay Hlaing Thein (50 years old), 100-household elder and resident of the village, was at his house when two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Htay Hlaing Thein sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Yan Aung Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.

As a result, U Ko Nyein (aka) U Maung Nyein died on the spot, it is reported.
